Ladarrion Newell's Rushing Yards a New Career-High
Starting off the list is Gary West Side's Ladarrion Newell, who we judged to be the best player in the league this week. On Friday Newell made eight total tackles (2.0 for loss), good enough to also set a new career-high in rushing yards in the process. He really tore up the turf during one magnificent 73-yard run.
For the year, Newell has averaged 6.5 total tackles per game.

Jayden Ortiz Delivers Electric Performance Vs Whiting
Jayden Ortiz was instrumental in extending Wheeler's winning streak to six on Friday. Ortiz was dynamite, rushing for 163 yards and three touchdowns on only 12 carries. His longest rush was for an incredible 70 yards.
If the past is any indication, Ortiz could be in store for another big game when he takes on Griffith on Friday. When Ortiz last faced the Panthers back in October of 2023, he rushed for 248 yards and three touchdowns while picking up 11.3 yards per carry.

A Season-Best Performance from Kamari Loggins Leads Gary West Side over Hammond Bishop Noll
Gary West Side was led to victory by Kamari Loggins, who turned in his biggest game of the season on Friday. Loggins rushed for 72 yards and a touchdown on only six carries, and also caught a touchdown, good enough to set a new career-high in rushing yards in the process. He also put in work on the defensive side of the ball, picking up 0.5 sacks and making four total tackles.
This year, Loggins has run in 3 touchdowns while averaging 22 rushing yards per game. He is looking even better than he did last year: after seven games last season, he had one rushing touchdown.

Caleb Klimczak Turns in Season-Best Performance
Caleb Klimczak produced his most outstanding game to date while leading Wheeler to the win on Friday. Klimczak threw for 267 yards and three touchdowns while completing 77.8% of his passes.

White Came Up Big in Whiting's 49-6 Loss
Rounding off our Top Five is Austin White of Whiting. White rushed for 130 yards, and also threw for 85 yards and a touchdown. His rushing production has been exceptional recently as that marked his third straight game with at least 130 rushing yards.
Whiting is on a five-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-6. White and Whiting will host LaVille at 7:30 p.m. on Friday.
