Basketball Game Preview: Connersville Spartans vs. Seton Catholic Cardinals

The Connersville Spartans will square off against the Seton Catholic Cardinals at 7:30 p.m. on Wednesday.

Seton Catholic is facing Connersville at the wrong time: Connersville suffered their first home loss of the season on Saturday and they're likely out for redemption. They fell 56-47 to the Trojans.

Even though the team lost, they still had their share of impressive performances. One of the best came from Jadan Peterson, who went 6 of 11 on his way to 14 points. The dominant performance gave him a new career-high in points. The team also got some help courtesy of Hunter Allen, who posted 12 points.

Meanwhile, there's no place like home for Seton Catholic, who bounced back after a loss on the road last Friday. They walked away with a 60-51 victory over Union County on Saturday.

Connersville's defeat ended a four-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 6-6. As for Seton Catholic, their win bumped their record up to 6-8.

Connersville strolled past Seton Catholic in their previous matchup back in December of 2018 by a score of 63-46. One of the biggest obstacles trying to stand in the way of that victory was Seton Catholic's Sam Brenneke, who went 7 of 15 on his way to 22 points and three steals.
