Preview: Cody vs. Green River
Green River may have come out ahead in their last contest, but they shouldn't get too cocky given who is up next. On Friday they will take on Cody at 6:00 PM. Green River will be strutting in after a victory while Cody will be stumbling in from a defeat.
Green River have had to suffer through a five-game losing streak, but that streak is no more. They made easy work of Powell last Friday and carried off a 28-6 win. The rankings were on Green River's side, but they didn't forecast quite such a lopsided result.
Meanwhile, Cody faced Star Valley in a battle between two of the state's top teams. Cody didn't finish too far behind, but the team still lost 16-20 to Star Valley.
Green River found themselves the reluctant recipients of an unpleasant 13-42 punch to the gut against Cody the last time the two teams met. Can Green River avenge their loss, or is history doomed to repeat itself ? We'll soon find out.
