Basketball Recap: Monday's Win Is Goleman's Eighth in Last Nine Outings

Goleman had won two straight games and Franki Sosa did his part to make it three on Monday. The Goleman Gators strolled past the Ransom Everglades Raiders with points to spare, taking the game 61-43 thanks in part to Sosa, who dropped a double-double on 26 points and 17 boards. The game was his ninth in a row with at least ten points.

Frudrias Porter was another key player, going 7 of 13 on his way to 21 points along with six boards and three steals. The dominant performance gave him a new career-high in points.

Ransom Everglades' defeat shouldn't obscure the performances of Quinn Pegg, who posted nine points, and Isaac Weinberg, who put up eight points.

Goleman is on a roll lately: they've won eight of their last nine matches, which provided a nice bump to their 11-4 record this season. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 64.2 points per game. As for Ransom Everglades, they dropped their record down to 5-9 with the loss, which was their sixth straight on the road.
