Basketball Recap: Triton Central Gets the Win

It can be hard to translate regular season success to the playoffs, but Triton Central had no problem doing just that on Friday. They escaped with a win against the Christel House Eagles by the margin of a single free throw, 48-47. This was a revenge game for the Tigers: when they faced off against the Eagles back in December of 2024, they had to take a 59-49 loss.

Triton Central's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Eli Sego, who posted 12 points. Another player making a difference was Max Crouse, who earned 12 points.

Triton Central has been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 15-9 record this season. Christel House's defeat dropped their record down to 14-10.

Coming up, Triton Central won't have much time to rest: their next contest is against Indianapolis Scecina Memorial at 7:30 p.m. on Saturday. Triton Central has insisted on making their last three contests complete nail-biters, turning in a record of 3-0 during that stretch of close contests. Christel House does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
