Basketball Game Preview: Governor's School for Science & Math Eagles vs. Great Falls Red Devils

Governor's School for Science & Math hasn't had much luck against Great Falls recently, but that could start to change on Friday. The Eagles will be playing at home against the Red Devils at 7:30 p.m. Given that the two teams suffered a loss in their last games, they both have a little extra motivation heading into this contest.

Governor's School for Science & Math is coming in off a wild two-game stretch: after soaring to 60 points back in November, they were much more limited against Lewisville on Tuesday. They had to suffer through a 79-11 loss at the hands of the Lions. The Eagles were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 37-4.

Edward Gorospe was Governor's School for Science & Math's leading scorer, having posted six points. Gorospe also led the team in rebounds with nine. Jeremiah Heard took the lead distributing the ball, coming up with two assists.

Meanwhile, Great Falls came up short against North Central on Wednesday and fell 45-36. While the Red Devils didn't get the win, they did start the game off strong, beating the Knights 8-4 in the first quarter.

Great Falls now has a losing record of 1-2. As for Governor's School for Science & Math, they now also have a losing record of 1-2.
