Softball Recap: West York Area Takes a Loss

West York Area came into their game on Wednesday off a hard-fought close win, but unfortunately suffered a serious change of fortune. They came up short against the Kennard-Dale Rams, falling 8-2. The loss continues a trend for the Bulldogs in their meetings with the Rams: they've now lost four in a row.

West York Area saw six different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Addison Skimski, who went 2-for-4 with one triple and one run. Braya Berrios also deserves some recognition as she hit her first double of the season.

West York Area's defeat dropped their record down to 2-8. As for Kennard-Dale, the win was the sixth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 6-1.

Looking ahead, West York Area is taking a road trip to take on Gettysburg at 4:15 p.m. on Friday. As for Kennard-Dale, they will look to defend their home field on Friday against Pequea Valley at 4:00 p.m. The timing is sure in the Rams' favor as the squad sits on three straight wins at home while the Braves have been banged up by four consecutive losses on the road.
