Campbell-Savona is 2-8 against Addison since May of 2017 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Friday. The Panthers will venture away from home to take on the Knights at 5:00 p.m. Campbell-Savona will come into the contest with an undefeated record on the line.
On Wednesday, Campbell-Savona narrowly escaped with a victory as the squad sidled past Hammondsport 12-11.
Autumn Payne made a big impact no matter where she played. She didn't allow a single earned run while striking out nine over 6.1 innings pitched. Payne was also big at the plate, getting on base in two of her five plate appearances with one run and one RBI.

In other batting news, Kali Maddock and Leah Loveless did most of the damage at the plate: Maddock got on base in three of her five plate appearances with two stolen bases, three runs, and one RBI, while Loveless got on base in four of her five plate appearances with two stolen bases and two runs. Loveless is crushing it when it comes to stolen bases: she's snagged at least one every time she's taken the field this season. Another player making a difference was Willow Koperczak, who got on base in three of her four plate appearances with two stolen bases and one RBI.
Addison came out on top against Alfred-Almond on Wednesday thanks in part to the team's impressive nine-run third inning. The Knights' pitchers stepped up to hand the Eagles a 12-0 shutout. The Knights haven't had any issues with the Eagles recently, as the game was their third consecutive win against them.
Khloe Snow was a standout: she went a perfect 3-for-3 with two stolen bases, two runs, and one RBI. That's the most stolen bases she has posted since back in April of 2024. The team also got some help courtesy of Sophia Hulslander, who got on base in three of her four plate appearances with three stolen bases and two runs.
Addison now has a winning record of 3-2. As for Campbell-Savona, their victory was their eighth straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 4-0.
The pitchers for both teams better look sharp on Friday as neither team is afraid to steal. Campbell-Savona has been swiping bases left and right this season, having averaged 8 stolen bases per game. However, it's not like Addison struggles in that department as they've been averaging 6.8 stolen bases. The only question left is which team can snag more.
Campbell-Savona might still be hurting after the 18-1 loss they got from Addison in their previous meeting back in May of 2024. Can the Panthers avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
