Volleyball Recap: Coshocton Redskins vs. West Muskingum Tornadoes

Coshocton was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They fell 3-1 to the West Muskingum Tornadoes. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Tornadoes this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 3-0 on September 2nd.

The final score came out to 25-15, 25-10, 16-25, 25-15.

Chloe Talbott paced Coshocton's offense, picking up 13 kills. Talbott got some help from Kylee Raber and her 17 assists. Pheonix Celeschi controlled things from the service line, finishing with three aces.

West Muskingum found their leader in sophomore Brooke Beight, who had 25 digs and four aces. Those four aces set a new season-high mark for Beight.

Coshocton's loss dropped their record down to 4-15. As for West Muskingum, the victory was the third in a row for them, bringing their record up to 7-12.

We've got plenty of inter-conference action coming up soon. Coshocton is set to challenge their familiar foe New Lexington at 6:15 p.m. on Thursday. Meanwhile, West Muskingum will take on rival Meadowbrook at 7:15 p.m. on Thursday.
