Football Recap: Father Lopez Extends Winning Streak to Two

Crescent City came into Friday's matchup looking for another win against Father Lopez, but Owen Albert wouldn't allow it. The Green Wave strolled past the Raiders with points to spare on Friday, taking the game 24-7 thanks in part to Albert, who rushed for 105 yards and one touchdown. He was no stranger to the big play, turning on the jets for a run that went for 56 yards.

The victory made it two in a row for Father Lopez and bumps their season record up to 4-2. The wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 36.0 points over those games. As for Crescent City, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-4.

Looking ahead, after both having extra time off, Father Lopez and Orangewood Christian will shake off the rust and duke it out at 7:00 p.m. on the 10th. The Green Wave will be up against the Rams' rather soft defense (which has allowed 28.33 points per contest), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance. As for Crescent City, they have already played their next game, a 71-21 defeat against Orlando Christian Prep on the 3rd.
