Baseball Recap: Centennial Takes a Loss

Centennial fell victim to Franklin and their airtight pitching crew on Monday. They came up short against the Admirals, falling 14-0. The Cougars were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Admirals apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in March of 2025.

Centennial got a good showing from Craig Schindley, who tossed three innings while giving up just one earned (and three unearned) runs off three hits.

On the hitting side, Centennial saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Ethan Vincent, who went a perfect 1-for-1 with one double.

Centennial moved to 13-13 with that loss, which also ended their three-game winning streak. As for Franklin, their victory was their fourth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 16-8.

While Centennial had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
