Basketball Recap: Stonewall Jackson Comes Up Short

Stonewall Jackson was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their 31st straight defeat dating back to last season. They lost 44-20 to the Riverheads Gladiators. Sadly, that's the second time they've come up short against the Generals this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 52-21 on December 4th.

Stonewall Jackson's loss dropped their record down to 0-7. As for Riverheads, they now have a winning record of 4-3.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Stonewall Jackson will get a bit of extra time to process the defeat as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Page County at 7:30 p.m. on January 3, 2025. As for Riverheads, they won't have much time to rest: their next matchup is against Rappahannock County at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Rappahannock County's defense has only allowed 22 points per game this season, so Riverheads' offense will have their work cut out for them.
