Softball Recap: Williams Yellowjackets vs. Quincy Trojans
Williams extended their losing streak (dating back to last season) to 29 on Friday, dropping their season record down to 0-18 in the process. They lost 17-1 to the Quincy Trojans. If the Yellowjackets were looking for revenge after losing 15-0 to the Trojans when the teams met back in April of 2022, then they'll just have to keep looking.
As for Quincy, the victory (which was their seventh in a row) raised their record to 19-4. The result was nothing new for the Trojans, who have now won ten games by six runs or more so far this season.
For Quincy's part, Addison Gay was incredible, going 3-for-4 with one home run, three runs, and four RBI. That's the most runs Gay has posted since back in March. The team also got some help courtesy of Jemma Trueblood, who went a perfect 3-for-3 with two runs, one triple, and two RBI.
While Williams had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair will be back at it again later today.
