Volleyball Recap: Morgan Township Comes Up Short

Morgan Township saw some tournament action on Saturday. They took a 2-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Crown Point Bulldogs. The Cherokees have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back matches.

Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-17, 25-7.

Morgan Township's offense was headlined by Noelle Keifer and Cadence Albers, who picked up two kills apiece. They got some help from Sierra Ricke and her six assists.

Crown Point was led to victory by Bella Del Real and Elisabetta Bedoy. Del Real had ten digs and two assists, while Bedoy had 11 assists and four aces. Del Real has been hot, having posted ten or more digs the last seven times she's played.

Morgan Township's loss dropped their record down to 13-6. As for Crown Point, they pushed their record up to 21-1 with the win, which was their tenth straight at home dating back to last season.

Coincidentally, Morgan Township and Crown Point will both be playing Benton Central the next time they take the court. The Bulldogs will host the Bison at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, while the Cherokees will play them later in the day, at 11:00 a.m.
