No. 1 player from Class of 2020 adds to Tigers' lineman stockpile.

For the second time in three years the No. 1 rated player in the country will be playing college football at Clemson.

Defensive end Bryan Bresee of Damascus (Md.) joins former Cartersville (Ga.) 5-star quarterback Trevor Lawrence as the only top-rated players to commit with the Tigers.

The defending National Champions already had the No. 3 overall recruiting class for 2020 and expect the Tigers to move to the top after landing the No. 1 player. Bresee is the seventh player rated in the Top 100 on 247sports composite rankings to commit with Clemson thus far, joining Fred Davis II, R.J. Mickens, Demonte Capehart, Mitchell Mayes, Tre Williams and Paul Tchio

Bresee was a first team MaxPreps Junior All-American after creating havoc in the backfield in 2018. The Maryland Gatorade Football Player of the Year had 12 sacks and 36 tackles for loss.

Clemson is becoming a gateway for producing big-time defensive line players. There's a good chance three defensive line prospects from the Tigers hear their names called Thursday during the first round of the 2019 NFL Draft – Christian Wilkins, Clelin Ferrell and Dexter Lawrence.

The four-time defending Atlantic Coast Conference champs already are building something special in the trenches from the Class of 2020. Bresee, Capehart and Williams are some of high school's most dominant defensive lineman and the Tigers have already landed commitments from five of the best offensive lineman in the country too in Mayes, Tchio, Bryn Tucker, Walker Parks and John Williams
