Basketball Recap: Weslaco Takes a Loss + How To Watch

Weslaco was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their fourth straight defeat. They took a hard 73-55 fall against the London Pirates.

When it comes to explaining why Weslaco lost, don't look at Kade Lopez. Despite the final result, he shot 70% from the field on his way to 14 points. Michael Fuentes was another key player, putting up 12 points.

Weslaco's loss dropped their record down to 6-4. As for London, they pushed their record up to 5-0 with the victory, which was their 13th straight at home dating back to last season.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Weslaco will face off against Veterans Memorial at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. The Chargers have been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last three games. As for London, they are packing up and heading out on the road for their first away game of the season: they will face off against Incarnate Word Academy at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
