Providence Catholic was the 2-1 winner over Lincoln-Way West when they last played one another on September 2nd, but their luck changed this time around. The Celtics took a 2-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Warriors on Saturday. The Celtics' defeat signaled the end of their three-game winning streak.

Abbey Knight paced Providence Catholic's offense, picking up 18 kills. Knight got some help from Demi Carbone and her 13 assists. Carbone was also solid from the service line: she led the team with three aces.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Lincoln-Way West to victory, but perhaps none more so than Sophia Rozga, who had ten digs and two aces. The dominant performance also gave Rozga a new career-high in assists (four). Another player making a difference was Claire Murphy, who had nine digs and one block.

Providence Catholic's loss dropped their record down to 14-2. As for Lincoln-Way West, the victory (which was their fourth in a row) raised their record to 12-8.

Providence Catholic has already played their next game, a 2-0 win against Stagg on the 20th. As for Lincoln-Way West, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 2-0 defeat against St. Laurence on the 20th.
