Football Recap: Platte Canyon Comes Up Short

Platte Canyon fell victim to Flatirons Academy and their airtight defense on Friday. They had to suffer through a 28-0 loss at the hands of the Bison. If the Huskies were looking for revenge after losing 40-0 to the Bison when the teams met back in October of 2024, then they'll just have to keep looking.

Platte Canyon's loss was their fifth straight on the road dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 1-6. As for Flatirons Academy, they now have a winning record of 4-3.

Looking ahead, Platte Canyon will look to defend their home field on Saturday against Forge Christian at 1:00 p.m. The Huskies will need to watch out since the Fury have now posted at least 31 points every time they've taken the field this season. As for Flatirons Academy, they are taking a road trip to face off against Denver Christian at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. The Bison's defense better be ready for this one: the Thunder have averaged an impressive 26.3 points per game this season.
