Volleyball Game Preview: Santa Ana Valley Falcons vs. La Quinta Aztecs

The Santa Ana Valley Falcons will venture away from home to face off against the La Quinta Aztecs at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday. Both teams took a loss in their last game, so they'll have plenty of motivation to get the 'W'.

Last Tuesday, Santa Ana Valley didn't have quite enough to beat Bolsa Grande and fell 3-2.

Meanwhile, La Quinta was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They took a 3-1 hit to the loss column at the hands of Rancho Alamitos. Surprisingly, this marked the third straight game that the away team has come away the victor.

While La Quinta ultimately came up short, they didn't go down without a fight: they scored at least 21 points in every set they played. The final score came out to 25-23, 25-23, 23-25, 25-21.

Santa Ana Valley has traveled a rocky road recently, having lost five of their last six contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 11-9 record this season. As for La Quinta, they now have a losing record of 7-8.

Santa Ana Valley suffered a grim 3-0 defeat to La Quinta in their previous matchup on April 1st. Can the Falcons avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
