Ahoskie Christian will head out to  face off against the Halifax Academy Vikings  at 4:00  p.m.  on Monday. Expect the scorekeeper to be kept busy: if their previous games are any indication, these teams will really light up the scoreboard.
Ahoskie Christian took a loss when they played away from home  on Thursday, but their home fans gave them all the motivation they needed  on Friday. They put the hurt on Gramercy Christian with a sharp  16-1 victory. Considering Ahoskie Christian has won six contests by more than nine  runs this season, Friday's  blowout was nothing new.
 Lilli Farmer made a splash while hitting and pitching. On the mound, she  tossed two innings while giving up   no  earned runs or  hits. Farmer was also solid in the batter's box,  scoring a  run while going 1-for-3.
 In other batting news,  Casey Piland was a standout: she scored three  runs while going 1-for-2. Another player making a difference was  Lauren Dickens, who  scored a  run while going 1-for-3.
Meanwhile, Halifax Academy made easy work of Ridgecroft  on Friday and carried off  an  11-1 win. The Vikings haven't had any issues with the Rams recently, as the game was their ninth consecutive  victory against them.
Like Ahoskie Christian, Halifax Academy also got a great game from a two-way player:  Payton Odom. She  tossed five innings while giving up just one earned run off   four  hits. Odom has been consistent : she hasn't  given up  more than one  walk in six consecutive appearances. She was also big at the plate,  scoring two  runs while going 2-for-4. The dominant performance also gave  her a new career-high in  doubles (two).
 In other batting news,  the team  relied heavily on  Karson Ricks, who  scored two  runs while going 1-for-4.  Teagan Hamill also deserves some recognition as  she  hit her first  double of the season.
 Ahoskie Christian's win was  their fifth straight at home dating back to last season, which  pushed their record up to 7-6. Those  home  victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as  they  averaged 14.2 runs over those games. As for Halifax Academy, they picked up their first road  win, bumping their record up to 6-8-1.
 Ahoskie Christian's speedy runners might be the difference in Monday's   game. Ahoskie Christian has been swiping bases left and right this season,  having  averaged 2.9  stolen bases per game. It's a different story for Halifax Academy, though, as  they've been averaging  only 0.9  stolen bases. Will they be able to secure the bases, or will Ahoskie Christian continue to outrun the ball?
