Recap: Decatur Golden Gators vs. Federal Way Eagles
The Decatur Golden Gators's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Tuesday after their fourth straight loss. They were beaten by Federal Way 80-44. Decatur was in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 43-19.
Decatur lost despite a true team effort on the offense, the best among them being Dominique Degrate, who scored ten points along with six rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Joshua Carter, who scored nine points.
Decatur has been struggling recently, as they've lost five of their last six matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 3-10 record this season. As for Federal Way, they pushed their record up to 11-4 with that victory, which was their fifth straight on the road.
Decatur will be playing at home against Kennedy Catholic at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Kennedy Catholic is coming into the contest on a five-game losing streak. As for Federal Way, they will head out on the road to square off against Kentridge at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Kentridge will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Washington Rankings (they are ranked 180th, while Federal Way is ranked 24th).
