            Softball Preview: Fraser Ramblers vs. Lakeview Huskies        
        
		
        
        
            The Fraser Ramblers will head out to  face off against the Lakeview Huskies  at 4:30  p.m.  on Tuesday. Fraser will come into the  match with an undefeated record on the line.
Fraser proved they can win big  on Thursday (they won by eight) and  on Friday they proved they can win the close ones too. They had just enough and edged out Grosse Pointe South  9-8.

 Gabrielle Gajewski made a splash no matter where she played. On the mound, she  tossed 3.1 innings while giving up just one earned run off   one  hit. She has been consistent  recently: she hasn't  given up  more than one  earned run in three consecutive appearances. She was also big at the plate,  going 2-for-4 with one  home run and two  RBI.
 In other batting news, Fraser let  Irelyn Bednarchik and  Jazlyn Wooten run wild. Bednarchik  scored two  runs and  stole a base while going 2-for-4, while  Wooten  scored a  run and  stole a base while going 2-for-4. That  stolen base marked the first that  Wooten  snagged this season. Another player making a difference was  Peyton Mckernan, who  scored two  runs while going 2-for-4.
 Fraser  kept the outfield on their toes and  finished the game with 13  hits. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now  got at least eight  hits every time they've taken the field this season.
 Meanwhile, Lakeview  took care of business in their home opener  (barely) on Thursday. They skirted past Sterling Heights Stevenson  6-4.
Fraser's victory was  their fifth straight on the road dating back to last season, which  pushed their record up to 4-0. The  road  wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 3.4 runs on average over those games. As for Lakeview, their record is now 1-0.
 Everything went Fraser's way against Lakeview when the teams last played  back in April of 2023, as Fraser made off with  a  10-0 victory. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Ramblers since the  squad won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
