Softball Recap: Manvel Beats Dobie for Their Fifth Straight Win

Manvel waltzed into their game on Thursday with four straight wins... but they left with five. They came within a single run of losing the streak, but they secured a 7-6 W against the Dobie Longhorns. That's two games straight that the Mavericks have won by just one run.

Karsyn Carrier was incredible, firing off three doubles, four RBI, and two runs while going 4-for-4. That's the most hits she has posted since back in February. Another player making a difference was Skylar Frederick, who went 1-for-3 with one triple, one run, and one RBI.

Manvel's victory was their fourth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 15-9. The home wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.5 runs on average over those games. As for Dobie, with the defeat, they broke their three-game winning streak and moved their record to 16-11.

Manvel does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Dobie, they will take on Ridge Point on the 26th. The Longhorns will need to watch out since the Panthers have now posted at least ten runs in their last five matches.
