Basketball Preview: Simeon Wolverines vs. Rich Township Raptors
The Simeon Wolverines will be playing in front of their home fans against the Rich Township Raptors at 6:30 p.m. on Monday. Simeon will be looking to keep their four-game home win streak alive.
Simeon struggled with assists on Wednesday (the Eagles had 13 more) and sadly the final score reflected it. Simeon was beaten by the Eagles 54-21. The result shouldn't come as a shock considering that's the fewest points Simeon has scored all season.
Despite the loss, Simeon saw an underclassman step up: Mariyah Robinson scored three points along with seven steals and six rebounds.
Meanwhile, Rich Township scored the most points they've had all season to find success on Wednesday. They took down Bloom 69-51. The victory made it back-to-back wins for Rich Township.
Simeon now has a losing record at 10-11. As for Rich Township, they are on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five contests, which provided a nice bump to their 18-9 record this season.
