Football Recap: St. Helena Saints vs. Willits Wolverines

St. Helena was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their fourth straight loss. They took a 20-14 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Willits Wolverines. The game was a 6-6 toss-up at halftime, but the Saints couldn't quite close it out.

Although St. Helena took the loss, they still got scores from Eric Torres and Troy Taber.

Willits got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Ryan Carter out in front who picked up 91 receiving yards and a touchdown. Carter got the majority of those receiving yards when he pulled down a pass and took off for a gain of 78 yards.

St. Helena's defeat dropped their record down to 0-3. As for Willits, they now have a winning record of 2-1.

St. Helena will head out to challenge Upper Lake at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Willits, they will challenge Lower Lake at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Lower Lake will roll in looking for their fourth straight win, something Willits surely won't give up without a fight.
