Basketball Recap: Crocker's Luck Changes for the Better on Tuesday

Crocker hadn't done well against Licking recently (they were 1-8 in their previous nine matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Tuesday. The Crocker Lions walked away with a 62-52 win over the Licking Wildcats. The victory was some much needed relief for the Lions as it spelled an end to their three-game losing streak.

Crocker's win ended a three-game drought at home and bumped them up to 2-3. As for Licking, their defeat was their first of the season and makes their record 4-1.

Crocker and Maranatha Baptist Academy will compete for holiday cheer at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Licking, they will be home for the holidays to greet Laquey at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Laquey knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with 55 points or more in their past five matchups -- so hopefully Licking likes a good challenge.
