Volleyball Recap: Iowa Park Hawks vs. Llano Yellowjackets

Iowa Park and Llano squared off in some playoff action on Thursday, but Iowa Park had to settle for second. They fell just short of the Llano Yellowjackets by a score of 3-2. The Hawks were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Yellowjackets apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in August of 2023.

Iowa Park took a 2-1 lead headed into the fourth set, but sadly they lost the next two. The match finished with set scores of 25-20, 17-25, 16-25, 25-20, 15-6.

Among those leading the charge was Sydney Kuykendall, who had 17 digs. She is on a roll when it comes to digs, as she's now had ten or more in the last three games she's played.

Iowa Park's defeat dropped their record down to 17-13. As for Llano, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won 14 of their last 16 games, which provided a nice bump to their 26-7 record this season.

Iowa Park does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Llano, their road trip will continue as they head out to face Bushland at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Bushland will roll in looking for their 23rd straight victory, something Llano surely won't give up without a fight.
