Volleyball Recap: Fort Zumwalt East's Undefeated Season over After Three Games

It was a proper cat-fight when Fort Zumwalt East challenged Fort Zumwalt West on Tuesday. The Lions came up short against the Jaguars, falling 3-0. If the Lions were looking for revenge after losing 3-0 to the Jaguars when the teams met back in March of 2024, then they'll just have to keep looking.

The final score came out to 25-11, 25-16, 25-16.

Hudson Curp paced Fort Zumwalt East's offense, picking up eight kills. Curp got some help from Ben Keen and his six assists. Brody Scraper controlled things from the service line, finishing with two aces.

Brayden Kilgore was the offensive standout of the game as he had six digs and two aces.

Having lost for the first time this season, Fort Zumwalt East fell to 2-1. As for Fort Zumwalt West, the victory (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 3-0.

Fort Zumwalt East wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next matchup, a 3-0 win against Battle on the 25th. As for Fort Zumwalt West, they have also already played their next contest, a 3-1 victory against Howell North on the 27th.
