Gulfport has gone 7-1 against Stone recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Friday. The Admirals will be playing at home against the Tomcats at 6:30 p.m. Each of these teams will be fighting to keep a win streak alive as Gulfport comes in on five and Stone on seven.

On Thursday, Gulfport needed a bit of extra time to put away St. Martin. They skirted past the Yellow Jackets 11-10.

Meanwhile, while Stone put up plenty of runs on Thursday, the same can't be said for Gautier. The Tomcats were the clear victors by a 12-0 margin over the Gators. The Tomcats might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won six matchups by six runs or more this season.

The result came thanks to Emalynn Gibson's shutout, as she gave up just five hits. She has been nothing but reliable on the mound: she hasn't given up more than one earned run in four consecutive appearances.

At the plate, Mattie Gibson was a standout: she went 3-for-4 with four RBI, two runs, and one double. That's the most hits she has posted since back in February. Laila Bullen was another key player, scoring three runs and stealing two bases while getting on base in three of her four plate appearances.

Stone hit smart and finished the game with only one strikeout. The team has now struck out at least five batters in 12 consecutive games.

Gulfport's victory was their fourth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 11-8. They've had to fight for that success though, as they only beat their opponents by an average of 2.25 runs across that stretch. As for Stone, their win bumped their record up to 14-6.

Gulfport came out on top in a nail-biter against Stone in their previous matchup back in March, sneaking past 8-6. Will the Admirals repeat their success, or do the Tomcats have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
