Baseball Game Preview: Fort Lupton Bluedevils vs. SkyView Academy Hawks

The Fort Lupton Bluedevils will head out on the road to face off against the SkyView Academy Hawks at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Fort Lupton is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 7.6 runs per game this season.

On Saturday, Fort Lupton needed a bit of extra time to put away Lincoln. They narrowly escaped with a victory as the squad sidled past the Lancers 10-9. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest win the Bluedevils have posted since March 26th.

Jesse Ceretto was incredible, going 4-for-5 with two runs, one triple, and one stolen base. He is becoming a predictor of Fort Lupton's success: when he posts at least three hits the team is undefeated (and 5-14 when he doesn't). Cade Rhoda was another key player, going 1-for-4 with one stolen base, two RBI, and one run.

They weren't the only ones making solid contact: Fort Lupton kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 14 hits. They are 6-1 when they post 11 or more hits.

Meanwhile, SkyView Academy unfortunately witnessed the end of their three-game winning streak on Friday. They fell 6-1 to Estes Park.

Fort Lupton's victory ended a three-game drought on the road and puts them at 8-14. As for SkyView Academy, their defeat dropped their record down to 10-5.
