Basketball Recap: Lakeside Takes a Loss

Lakeside was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their fifth straight defeat. They lost to the Conneaut Spartans at home by a 46-27 margin. The Dragons were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Spartans earlier this season, when they won 40-39.

Lakeside's loss dropped their record down to 2-14. As for Conneaut, their victory ended a three-game drought on the road and puts them at 7-11.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Lakeside will square off against St. John at 1:50 p.m. on Saturday. Lakeside is facing St. John at the right time seeing as St. John is stuck on a four-game losing streak. As for Conneaut, they are taking a road trip to take on Pymatuning Valley at 2:30 p.m. on Saturday. Pymatuning Valley will roll in looking for their 12th straight win, something Conneaut surely won't give up without a fight.
