Basketball Game Preview: Garden Grove Argonauts vs. Kennedy Fighting Irish

The Garden Grove Argonauts will head out on the road to square off against the Kennedy Fighting Irish at 6:15 p.m. on Friday. Garden Grove knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with 55 points or more in their past three matches -- so hopefully Kennedy likes a good challenge.

Last Wednesday, Garden Grove beat Segerstrom 57-46.

Meanwhile, Kennedy had already won 14 in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 14.4 points) and they went ahead and made it 15 on Wednesday. They walked away with a 74-66 win over the Knights. Given the Fighting Irish's advantage in MaxPreps' California basketball rankings (they are ranked 244th, while the Knights are ranked 620th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Kennedy's victory was their sixth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 19-4. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 74.7 points per game. As for Garden Grove, their win bumped their record up to 13-10.
