Basketball Game Preview: Deming Wildcats vs. Silver Fighting Colts

Deming hasn't had much luck against Silver recently, but that could start to change on Saturday. The Deming Wildcats will head out on the road to square off against the Silver Fighting Colts at 2:00 p.m. Both come into the match bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

The home team had won the previous four meetings between Deming and Chaparral, and Deming kept the tradition alive. Deming came out on top against Chaparral by a score of 51-39 on Thursday.

Meanwhile, Silver waltzed into their contest last Friday with five straight wins... but they left with six. They simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat the Lobos 73-34. The Fighting Colts have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won eight games by 20 points or more this season.

Silver pushed their record up to 19-6 with the win, which was their fourth straight at home. They've dominated over that stretch too, winning by an average of 25 points. As for Deming, they have been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five matches. That's provided a massive bump to their 5-21 record this season.

Deming might still be hurting after the 74-51 loss they got from Silver when the teams last played last Tuesday. Can Deming avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
