Volleyball Recap: Marlborough Triumphs

With a playoff win on the line, Marlborough rose to the challenge on Thursday. They came out on top against the Diamond Bar Brahmas by a score of 3-1. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Mustangs.

The final score came out to 25-14, 25-13, 22-25, 25-19.

When it comes to explaining why Diamond Bar lost, don't look at Ava Furumoto. Despite the final result, she had ten digs and one assist. Furumoto has been hot for a while, having posted ten or more digs the last 11 times she's played.

Marlborough's win bumped their record up to 19-15. As for Diamond Bar, their loss dropped their record down to 23-9.

Coming up, after both having extra time off, Marlborough and La Canada will shake off the rust and duke it out at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Diamond Bar does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
