Basketball Game Preview: Sheridan Spartans vs. Taft Tigers

Sheridan and Taft are an even 3-3 against one another since January of 2016, but not for long. The Sheridan Spartans will be playing at home against the Taft Tigers at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Sheridan has been dominant on offense recently, having racked up an incredible 180 points over their last three matchups.

Sheridan is headed in fresh off scoring the most points they have all season. They might have been a little too into the holiday spirit, gifting Dayton an easy 85-62 victory. The defeat continues a trend for the Spartans in their matchups with the Pirates: they've now lost five in a row.

Meanwhile, Taft suffered their closest loss since January 26th on Wednesday. They fell just short of Scio by a score of 50-47.

Taft's defeat dropped their record down to 3-3. As for Sheridan, their loss dropped their record down to 2-2.

Sheridan was dealt a bruising 84-32 defeat at the hands of Taft when the teams last played back in January. Can Sheridan avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
