Softball Recap: Livingston Makes It Four in a Row on the Road

Livingston got themselves on the board against Johansen on Monday, but Johansen never followed suit. They blew past the Vikings 19-0. The result was nothing new for the Wolves, who have now won five games by ten runs or more so far this season.

Annalee Aguilar made a big impact no matter where she played. On the mound, she kept things locked down with no earned runs or hits while striking out ten over five innings pitched. The dominant performance also gave her a new career-low in hits (zero). She was also stellar in the batter's box, going 2-for-4 with four RBI, one run, and one double. Those four RBI gave her a new career-high.

In other batting news, Livingston got a massive performance out of Isabella Zazueta, who scored four runs and stole two bases while getting on base in all five of her plate appearances. That's the most runs Zazueta has posted over her last 13 contests. The team also got some help courtesy of Alexis Ross, who scored two runs and stole three bases while going 2-for-3.

Livingston always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .571. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Johansen only posted an OBP of .167.

Livingston pushed their record up to 11-5 with the victory, which was their fourth straight on the road. The wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 16.0 runs over those games. As for Johansen, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-7.

Coming up, Livingston will be playing in front of their home fans against Pacheco at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Livingston is facing Pacheco at the right time seeing as Pacheco is stuck on a ten-game losing streak. As for Johansen, they will take on Grace Davis at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
