Softball Game Preview: Saint James Saints vs. Potomac School Panthers

The Saint James Saints will face off against the Potomac School Panthers at 4:15 p.m. on Monday. The two teams have allowed few runs on average (Saint James 2.5, Potomac School 3) so any runs scored will be well earned.

Not much got past Lily Schlotterbeck ?26, who gave up just a hit and racked up 18 Ks to keep Fort Hill off the board. Schlotterbeck ?26 has been consistent for a while: she hasn't tossed less than five strikeouts in ten consecutive appearances.

On the hitting side, Tenley Mullendore ?27 was incredible, going 2-for-4 with five stolen bases and two runs. Those five stolen bases gave her a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Everett Sechler ?26, who went 1-for-3 with two stolen bases, one run, and one double.

Meanwhile, Potomac School entered their tilt with Jackson-Reed on Friday with four consecutive wins, and they'll enter their next game with five. They didn't even let the Tigers on the board, marking their second-straight 15-0 shutout. The Panthers' pitching crew has been rock solid lately; the team hasn't given up a run in their last four contests.

Saint James is on a roll lately: they've won six of their last eight games. That's provided a nice bump to their 8-3 record this season.
