Baseball Recap: Thief River Falls Comes Up Short

Thief River Falls was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their fifth straight defeat. They fell 6-2 to the Detroit Lakes Lakers. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Prowlers of the 4-3 loss they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in April of 2025.

Thief River Falls saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Gres Hruby, who went 1-for-4 with one stolen base and one run. That run was Hruby's first of the season.

Thief River Falls' defeat dropped their record down to 3-12. As for Detroit Lakes, their win (their first of the season) made their record 1-11.

While Thief River Falls had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair will be back at it again later today.
