Even though Denbigh Baptist Christian has not done well against Greenbrier Christian Academy recently (they were 0-3 in their previous three matchups), they didn't let the past get in their way on Monday. Denbigh Baptist Christian secured a 64-60 W over Greenbrier Christian Academy.

Denbigh Baptist Christian got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Tryston Mitchell out in front who scored 17 points. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Mitchell has scored all season. The team also got some help courtesy of William Showalter, who scored 17 points.

Meanwhile, Hampton Christian Academy waltzed into their game last Tuesday with seven straight wins but they left with eight. They simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat Gateway Christian 66-37 on the road. Hampton Christian Academy has made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won 16 games by 20 points or more this season.

Hampton Christian Academy found their leader in underclassman Bryce Harris, who dropped a double-double on 16 points and 11 assists. Harris has been hot recently, having posted two or more steals the last four times he's played. Sean O'Connor was another key contributor, almost dropping a double-double on 11 points and nine rebounds.

Denbigh Baptist Christian pushed their record up to 14-8 with that victory, which was their third straight at home. Those victories were due in large part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 65.3 points per game. As for Hampton Christian Academy, they are on a roll lately: they've won nine of their last ten games, which provided a nice bump to their 20-3 record this season.

Denbigh Baptist Christian was dealt a bruising 76-43 defeat at the hands of Hampton Christian Academy when the teams last played back in January. Can Denbigh Baptist Christian avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
