On Saturday, Wayne County faced Lebanon in a battle between two of the state's top teams. The Wayne County Wildcats took a blow against the Lebanon Blue Devils, falling 68-28. The Wildcats' defeat signaled the end of their four-game winning streak.

Lebanon can attribute much of their success to Tiara Spencer, who went 5 of 10 on her way to 13 points and three steals. What's more, Spencer also racked up four assists, the most she's had since back in February of 2024. Naleiya Withrow-Walker was another key player, going 5 for 9 en route to 11 points and three steals.

Wayne County's loss dropped their record down to 9-2. As for Lebanon, the win was the fifth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 13-5.

Wayne County has already played their next game (against LEAD Academy), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. Lebanon will head out on the road to challenge Smyrna at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Lebanon is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 57.3 points per game this season.
