Two teams were on the hunt for playoff glory, but only Licking Valley walked away with it. They blew past the Bishop Hartley Hawks 7-1 on Thursday. The result was nothing new for the Panthers, who have now won ten matches by six runs or more so far this season.

Licking Valley has been performing well recently as they've won 15 of their last 18 contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 19-6 record this season. Those wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.4 runs on average over those games. As for Bishop Hartley, their defeat dropped their record down to 16-13.
