Soccer Recap: Sweetwater Comes Up Short

Friday just wasn't the day for Sweetwater's offense. They came up short against the Lake View Chiefs on Friday, falling 9-0. While losing is never fun, the Mustangs can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Texas soccer rankings (they are ranked 748th, while the Chiefs are ranked 182nd).

Sweetwater dropped their record down to 1-6-1 with the loss, which was their fifth straight on the road. As for Lake View, the win was the eighth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 9-1.

Sweetwater will challenge Liberty at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Lake View, they will take on Pecos at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Lake View is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 5.9 goals per game this season.
