Mountain Ridge was led to victory by Ian Duncan, who turned in his biggest game of the season on Thursday. Duncan went 6-for-7 from beyond the arc on his way to 24 points and eight rebounds. The performance also marked the highest field goal percentage (82%) he has had since back in January of 2024. He has become a key player for Mountain Ridge: the team is 6-1 when he posts at least 15 points, but 5-8 otherwise.

Looking ahead, Duncan and Mountain Ridge will look to defend their home court on Saturday against Keyser at 7:00 p.m. The Miners had to take a loss when they last met the Golden Tornado, but Duncan had little to do with the loss: he posted nine points along with six boards and four blocks.
