Baseball Recap: J.P. Stevens Takes a Loss

J.P. Stevens fought the good fight in their extra-innings game against North Plainfield on Wednesday but wound up with a less-than-desirable result. They fell just short of the Canucks by a score of 2-1. If the Hawks were looking for revenge after losing 7-0 to the Canucks when the teams met back in May of 2024, then they'll just have to keep looking.

J.P. Stevens dropped their record down to 2-6 with the loss, which was their sixth straight on the road dating back to last season. As for North Plainfield, the victory (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 6-1.

While J.P. Stevens had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday.
