Leroy has gone 6-1 against Excel recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Wednesday. The Leroy Bears will be playing at home against the Excel Panthers at 3:30 p.m. Both teams are coming into the game red-hot, with Leroy sitting on 11 straight victories and Excel on four.

While Leroy's win against Richton wasn't quite the blowout it was the last time the pair played, they still came out on top. Leroy had just enough and edged out Richton 8-6. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest victory the Bears have posted since April 19, 2024.

Meanwhile, Excel was able to grind out a solid win over Sweet Water on Monday, taking the game 6-3.

Trent Williams was a major factor while hitting and pitching. He looked comfortable on the mound, not allowing a single earned run and allowed only one hit while striking out seven over five innings pitched. He has become a key player for Excel: the team is 2-1 when he allows at most one hit, but 5-10 otherwise. Williams was also big at the plate, going 2-for-4 with two stolen bases, three RBI, and one double.

In other pitching news, Lane White looked comfortable as he pitched two innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit.

Williams wasn't the only one making solid contact as four players wound up with at least one hit. One of them was JP Norris, who went 2-for-4 with one stolen base and one RBI.

Leroy pushed their record up to 11-0 with the victory, which was their tenth straight at home dating back to last season. They've dominated over that stretch too, winning by an average of 9.5 runs. As for Excel, their win bumped their record up to 7-11.

Leroy beat Excel 13-9 in their previous matchup back in February. Will Leroy repeat their success, or does Excel have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
