Softball Recap: Edmonds-Woodway Warriors vs. Shorewood Stormrays

After losing to Shorewood the last time they met, Edmonds-Woodway decided to demonstrate that turnabout is fair play. The Warriors walked away with a 5-1 win over the Stormrays on Monday. That's two games straight that the Warriors have won by exactly four runs.

Ella Campbell was a major factor no matter where she played. She tossed two innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit. She has been nothing but reliable on the mound: she hasn't given up more than one earned run in three consecutive appearances. She was also big at the plate, scoring a run while going 2-for-4.

In other batting news, Abby McCorvey was incredible, going 2-for-3 with one home run, three RBI, and one double. Catie Ingalls was another key player, going 3-for-4 with three runs, two doubles, and one triple.

The victory made it two in a row for Edmonds-Woodway and bumps their season record up to 7-3. The wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered a grand total of 4 runs in those games. As for Shorewood, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 8-6.
