Basketball Game Preview: Fenton Tigers vs. Durand Railroaders

The Fenton Tigers will venture away from home to square off against the Durand Railroaders at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday.

Last Tuesday, Fenton was within striking distance but couldn't close the gap as they fell 44-39 to Notre Dame Prep.

Meanwhile, Durand was fully in charge on Tuesday, breezing past Clio 63-34. The Railroaders have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won ten contests by 24 points or more this season.

Durand has been performing well recently as they've won seven of their last nine matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 14-7 record this season. Those victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 51.1 points over those games. Fenton's defeat dropped their record down to 14-9.

Things could have been worse for Fenton, but things could have been a whole lot better as they took a 55-41 loss to Durand in their previous meeting back in January of 2024. Can Fenton avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
