Baseball Game Preview: Dodson Panthers vs. Winnfield Tigers

A feisty cat fight will be fought as Dodson Panthers challenge Winnfield Tigers at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday. Dodson knows how to get runs on the board -- the squad has finished with ten runs or more in their past three matchups -- so hopefully Winnfield likes a good challenge.

Dodson made up a huge gap compared to their last game against Summerfield, but they still couldn't quite topple them. Dodson blew past Summerfield 13-5 on Thursday. That's two games straight that the Panthers have won by exactly eight runs.

Meanwhile, Winnfield suffered their biggest loss since April 5, 2024 on Monday. They came up short against Caldwell Parish, falling 13-7.

Winnfield saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Daniel Luke Page, who went 2-for-4 with one double.

Dodson's victory bumped their record up to 5-6. As for Winnfield, their defeat dropped their record down to 10-10.

Dodson suffered a grim 22-7 defeat to Winnfield in their previous meeting back in March of 2016. Can Dodson avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
