On the hitting side, the team relied heavily on Dane Coyle, who fired off five runs, three doubles, and one triple while going 4-for-4. That triple marked the first that Martinez has hit this season.
Gilbert Christian pushed their record up to 16-8 with the win, which was their eighth straight on the road. The road victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.6 runs on average over those games. As for ALA - Ironwood, their loss dropped their record down to 4-16.
