While Hickory Ridge's victory against West Cabarrus wasn't quite the blowout it was the last time the pair played, they still came out on top. The Ragin' Bulls narrowly escaped with a win as the squad sidled past the Wolverines 4-2. The victory continues a trend for the Ragin' Bulls in their matchups with the Wolverines: they've now won seven in a row.

Hickory Ridge's win bumped their record up to 15-7. As for West Cabarrus, they have been struggling recently as they've lost five of their last six contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 8-13 record this season.

Hickory Ridge will welcome Ballantyne Ridge at 6:30 p.m. on Friday. The Wolves have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 7.91 runs per game on average), something the Ragin' Bulls will no doubt try to take advantage of. West Cabarrus does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
